Knauf and WKB Systems supply construction materials to the occupiers. The managers of these companies have ties to Russia.
German companies help the Russian occupation regime carry out construction in occupied Mariupol. The German publication Tagesschau reports this in connection with the investigation of the ARD television channel.
German journalists have evidence and evidence in the form of photographs and videos that the companies Knauf and WKB Systems are building facilities in this city.
We are talking, in particular, about the photos of a construction site with Knauf bags, the official dealer of which publicly announces that he built a residential building project from his own materials in the building on behalf of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
Knauf is a leader in the production of gypsum and has long had business in Russia. Its founder Nikolaus Knauf was the honorary consul of the Russian Federation for more than two decades. He retained this post even after Russia’s illegal annexation of Crimea, and in 2018 he still called additional sanctions against the Russian Federation “horrific.” Russia still employs 4,000 people and the company generates billions in revenue.
Investigators found concrete blocks at several construction sites wrapped in green film with the inscription WKB Systems GmbH. The main shareholder of the company is the sanctioned Russian oligarch Viktor Budarin, who used his German company as a supplier to the construction industry in Russia.
For many years, WKB Systems supplied the entire installation for factories for the production of aerated concrete blocks of one of the Russian companies of Budarin – apparently the same products used by the Russian Federation in Mariupol.
We remind you that for the first time since the beginning of the year we saw a Russian ship in the port of Mariupol.
The invaders are actively using the ruins of Azovstal in occupied Mariupol to deploy their military vehicles.
