It is now possible to restore some of the facilities damaged in last week’s Russian attack.
After the shelling of Russia, Ukraine’s energy system is intact, but the situation is very difficult. Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal said this at a government meeting on Friday, March 29.
“Tonight, Russian terrorists carried out another massive missile and drone attack against our country. The main target of the attack was again our energy sector. They were able to withstand the attack. The entire energy system, but the situation is very difficult. There are problems with electricity supply in some regions. We are solving this issue,” said, head of the Cabinet of Ministers.

Shmygal said that Ukraine imports electricity from Romania, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, and Moldova so that the system can operate stably.
“Today’s attack again damaged equipment. Again the attack was directed against both power generation facilities and its distribution system. It is very important for all of us today to reduce electricity consumption. It is applies especially in the evening hours,” the Prime Minister said.
According to him, it is possible to restore some facilities that were damaged in the attack last week.
In addition, Shmygal noted that Ukraine successfully completed the warming period. According to him, turning off the heating will balance the energy system more.
“Despite the end of the heating season, the Points of Indestructibility will continue to work. There are more than 10 thousand of them throughout the country,” added the head of government.
We remind you that tonight the Russian military used 99 air attack weapons to strike Ukraine. Air defense forces destroyed 84 enemy targets.
