As a result of another massive attack on the energy system carried out by the Russians on March 29, three thermal power plants of DTEK were subjected to large-scale destruction. This was announced by the executive director of the energy company Dmitry Sakharuk on the air of the Public.
“Again there was a massive attack, regrouped, again many drones, missiles of various types. Three stations in our company were almost destroyed, two of them were not fired upon last week. Today we saw that the destruction is once again enormous,” he said.
According to him, more details about the consequences of the shelling will be known after the power engineers clear the rubble.
In addition, an employee of DTEK was injured in the attack, however, according to Sakharuk, his life was not in danger.
Sakharuk emphasized that energy workers are currently doing everything to ensure that all consumers are provided with electricity.
It was previously reported that as a result of the Russian attack on March 22, approximately half of DTEK’s generating capacity was lost. After that, the energy company said it would take several months to restore the facilities.
