The American currency at exchange offices is getting cheaper following a collapse in the interbank foreign exchange market.
The exchange rate of the hryvnia strengthened slightly against the dollar and the euro at exchange offices. RBC-Ukraine reported this with reference to market monitoring data on Wednesday, March 27.
So, the average dollar selling rate decreased by 5 kopecks to 39.35 Hryvnia, the euro exchange rate also fell by 5 kopecks to 42.95 Hryvnia.
Today, exchange offices buy dollars on average for 38.85 UAH, and euros for 42.25 UAH.
In the interbank market, the American currency rate is at the level of 39.11-39.14 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – a decrease of 12 kopecks compared to the previous day’s close.
Meanwhile, the National Bank yesterday again raised the dollar to Hryvnia exchange rate to a historical maximum – UAH 39.343 (+0.1132 UAH). The euro exchange rate is 42.6911 UAH (+0.2013 UAH).
Let us remind you that last week the National Bank sharply increased the sale of foreign currency. This is happening for the third time in a row.
