In Ukraine, 20 regions have already started sowing spring grain and leguminous crops. The press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food reported this on Friday, March 22.
“On March 21, 214.5 thousand hectares were sown in Ukraine. Of these, 29 thousand hectares of wheat, 117.3 thousand hectares of barley, 53.1 thousand hectares of peas and 10.6 thousand hectares of oats, “- said the message.
According to the ministry, in the Nikolaev region 1.5 thousand hectares of wheat, 24.8 thousand hectares of barley, 15.3 thousand hectares of peas and 0.5 thousand hectares of oats were sown.
In the Kirovograd region – 4.2 thousand hectares of wheat, 9.7 thousand hectares of barley and 5.8 thousand hectares of peas.
In the Dnepropetrovsk region – 2.2 thousand hectares of barley and 0.3 thousand hectares of oats, in the Vinnitsa region – 1.8 thousand hectares of wheat, 0.4 thousand hectares of barley and 1.2 thousand hectares of peas.
Sunflowers began to be sown in the Kyiv region.
