Ukraine has significantly increased the export of sugar to African countries. In March of this year, Ukraine exported 20% of its sugar volume to African countries. This was announced by the First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Taras Vysotsky on Thursday, March 21, the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy reports.
“Ukraine is actively developing a new direction for the export of sugar. In March, almost 8 thousand tons of the product were supplied to three African countries – Cameroon, Libya and Guinea,” said Vysotsky.
The deputy minister added that in general the situation in the sugar market is stable: the sugar produced is sufficient both to meet the domestic needs of Ukrainians and to ensure the necessary volume of exports.
It was previously reported that the volume of foreign trade in Ukraine has increased. Ukraine exported the most to Poland – $649 million, Spain – $624 million, China – $504 million.
