Ukraine may receive the next tranche in the amount of 1.5 billion euros in April based on the results of the implementation of reforms.
The state budget of Ukraine received the first tranche within the transition financing in the amount of 4.5 billion euros in accordance with the EU financial instrument Ukraine Facility. The Ministry of Finance announced this on Wednesday, March 20.
“The raised funds will help timely and fully finance the priority social and humanitarian expenses of the state budget,” said Finance Minister Sergei Marchenko.
It is indicated that within the framework of transitional financing, five reforms are on the agenda for Ukraine in the following areas: public financial management, fight against corruption and development of the business environment, etc.
Ukraine may receive the next tranche of 1.5 billion euros in early April based on the results of the satisfactory implementation of such reforms and a positive assessment by the European Commission.
Earlier, the NBU announced that Ukraine will receive $10 billion in international funding in March-April. These funds will go into the budget and become international reserves.
