The official dollar and euro exchange rate set new historical records in Ukraine. This is confirmed by the data on the website of the National Bank on Tuesday, March 19.
The official dollar exchange rate for tomorrow is set at 39.1338 UAH (+0.1594 UAH). The psychological milestone of 39 Hryvnia was overcome for the first time. The previous maximum was recorded the day before – 38.9744 UAH per 1 dollar.
The euro exchange rate will be 42.4641 UAH (+0.0171 UAH). The previous record was also yesterday – 42.4470 UAH.
In the interbank market, the American currency rose by 15 kopecks to 39.15-39.17 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) compared to the previous day’s close.
Meanwhile, in the cash market, the dollar rose by only 5 kopecks to UAH 39.20.
Let us remind you that last week the National Bank significantly increased the sale of foreign currency in the interbank market. In total, nearly $4.6 billion has been sold since the beginning of the year.
Earlier it became known that in February, international reserves of Ukraine “lost weight” by almost 4% – up to $ 37.052 billion. Their volume was affected by the monetary interventions of the National Bank and the payment of the country’s debts.
