The average cash dollar selling rate fell to UAH 38.75, and the euro exchange rate dropped to UAH 42.55.
The hryvnia exchange rate strengthened on the last working day of the week against the dollar and the euro on the cash market. RBC-Ukraine reported this in connection with monitoring data on Friday, March 15.
The average dollar selling rate fell by 15 kopecks to 38.75 Hryvnia, and the euro exchange rate fell by 10 kopecks to 42.55 Hryvnia.
Today, exchange offices buy dollars for an average of 38.25 UAH, and euros for 41.85 UAH.
In the interbank market, the American currency is at the level of 38.67-38.68 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – an increase of 1 kopeck compared to the previous day’s close.
The previous day, the National Bank reduced the dollar exchange rate after it reached a historic high. Today the dollar is worth 38.6854 UAH (-0.1024 UAH). The euro exchange rate is 42.287 UAH (-0.1313 UAH).
We remind you that on March 14, the National Bank reduced the discount rate by 0.5% – to 14.5% per annum. This came as a surprise to most financial market participants.
Also yesterday, the NBU announced that Ukraine will receive $10 billion in April-March 2024.
