Life under martial law has a major impact on business, especially in the insurance industry. Ukrainian insurers quickly adapt to the circumstances and respond to updated customer requests.
Andrey Artyukhov, CEO of the insurance company VUSO, spoke about this in an interview with the special publication Forinsurer.
“Certainly, 2023 brought no less challenges than 2022. However, updated by past experience, we already know exactly how to act in a specific situation. The main goal is to ensure the highest quality of service even in critical conditions, development and regular assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” said Andrey Artyukhov, Chairman of the Board of USO Insurance Company.
He added that the specifics of clients’ needs for insurance have changed. “There is a need for insurance covering military risks, which is quite logical. Almost every day dozens of enemy missiles fly over Ukraine, destroying civilian homes and other citizens’ property .VUSO is one of the first insurance companies to quickly respond to this customer need: in 2022, we launched the Patriot CASCO product and have already modernized it in 2023,” commented A. Artyukhov.
Also, the Chairman of the Board of Insurance Company VUSO said that the war also affected the health of the population: “We are more often in contact with business representatives with requests for employee insurance. They ask to include military risks in VHI.” Mikhail Nazarchuk, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of VUSO Insurance Company, recently mentioned in an interview with the Ministry of Finance: This is due to the gradual depletion of collective health because on the negative impact of diseases and a general deterioration in the psycho – emotional state of the population. Ignoring these situations can lead to a number of negative consequences, including high treatment costs, decreased productivity and professional employee motivation.”
Despite the hostilities in Ukraine, VUSO continues to operate successfully. Andrey Artyukhov said that a significant advantage here is the complete digitalization of processes introduced at VUSO during the coronavirus. All communication with the client moved to a virtual format, which significantly reduced the speed of completing all tasks. “If we talk about specific cases, such as blackout or lack of mobile communications, then we have proper processes. We have operators working from abroad, who have ensured the continuous aid operation in Ukraine. Our clients receive timely assistance in the shortest possible time,” said Andrey Artyukhov, CEO of VUSO.
