The news agency recalled that on February 21, Belgium, which heads the Council of the EU, announced that the ambassadors of the EU countries agreed on the 13th package of anti-Russian sanctions, which will come into force on February 24.
It blacklists about 200 individuals and legal entities not only from Russia, but also from some of its partners, including China, Iran and the DPRK.
We wrote earlier that the European Union adopted the 13th package of sanctions against Russia. The restrictions apply to another 106 individuals and 88 legal entities responsible for actions that undermine or threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.
It should be noted that the UK has introduced new sanctions against the Russian Federation. They are aimed at the Kremlin’s main sources of income with the aim of limiting trade in metals, diamonds and energy resources, and also against those who supply ammunition.
Let’s add that the US authorities have also introduced a large-scale package of sanctions against Russia for the aggressive war in Ukraine and the death of the Russian oppositionist Alexei Navalny.
