It is indicated that the company will hold the first joint auctions for the distribution of access to interstate interconnectors between Ukraine and Hungary on the European universal distribution platform JAO (Joint Allocation Office).
“This means that from now on Ukraine begins to conduct commercial electricity exchange according to European rules with another EU country,” the message said.
Today’s exports are carried out in Slovakia, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Moldova with a total volume of 2793 MWh, with a maximum power of up to 295 MW in individual hours.
Electricity is imported in the morning and evening from Slovakia, Hungary, Poland, Romania, as well as in the evening from Moldova. The total volume is 1018 MWh, with peak power in individual hours of up to 194 MW.
It was also reported that yesterday, due to the hot weather, there was a surplus of electricity in the Ukrainian energy system.
“To maintain the balance between production and consumption and the operational security of the energy system, in response to a request from Ukrenergo, the PSE of the Polish energy system operator provided emergency assistance from 11:00 to 16:00, which immediately bought excess Ukrainian electricity with a total volume of 1,440 MWh,” – Energy workers said.
Earlier in February, electricity exports from Ukraine exceeded imports. At the same time, no deficit was recorded in the Ukrainian energy system. And our own generation is enough to meet the needs of consumers.
