There are more trucks lined up in front of Krakovets, Rava-Russkaya and Shegini checkpoints.

Polish farmers continue to block the Ukrainian-Polish border. On the morning of February 22, 2,450 trucks were waiting in line to cross the border into Ukraine. This was announced by the spokesman of the State Border Guard Service Andrey Demchenko during the telethon.

“Polish farmers continue to block the movement of cargo vehicles. There are still six directions. If we talk directly about the checkpoints, these are Yagodin, Ustilug, Ugrinov, Rava-Russkaya, Shegini and Krakovets.. “Most of the trucks are opposite Krakovets, Rava-Russkaya and Shegini checkpoints,” he said.

According to a representative of the State Border Guard Service, there has been a significant decrease in the number of border crossings by cargo vehicles. So, in recent days it felt especially critical in the direction of the Yagodin and Shegini checkpoints.

“For example, in Shegini, only 60 trucks crossed the border yesterday – 40 to Ukraine and 20 to Poland. In the direction of Yagodin, that is 70 trucks crossed the border to Ukraine, and not one truck crossed the border towards Poland. In fact “Polish farmers do not allow a single truck to pass through Yagodin from Ukraine to Poland. In one hour, many trucks passed in all directions, both towards Ukraine and towards Poland,” said Demchenko.

At the same time, a representative of the State Border Guard Service said that traffic for other categories of transport has not been blocked, especially for cars and buses.

Let us remind you that on February 20, Polish farmers started a large-scale blockade of the Ukrainian border. By late afternoon, protesters eased border restrictions.

In response to the Poles’ actions, Ukrainian carriers began their border protest. Polish trucks will be allowed to enter Ukrainian territory with the delay in which Poles allow Ukrainians.

President Vladimir Zelensky criticized the blocking of Ukrainian border checkpoints by Polish farmers, calling for joint and reasonable solutions to this situation.
