The largest legal producer of amber last year was KP Volynpriroresurs, which produced 14,667.27 kg of amber.
Last year in Ukraine, the amount of legal production of amber reached 39.2 tons, which is 15 times more than in 2019, before the law limiting its production came into force. This was reported by the State Service of Geology and Subsoil of Ukraine.
Thus, in 2023, 39,256.25 kg of amber was mined in Ukraine under special permits. Last year, 35.4 million hryvnias of rent was paid for the use of amber mineral resources, 30% of which was directed to the budgets of territorial communities.
During 2020-2023, 90 subsoil plots with a total area of 3.8 thousand hectares were sold in Rivne and Zhytomyr regions for 144.7 million hryvnias.

We remind you that earlier in the Rivne region a group of amber diggers was exposed, from which more than 100 kg of amber was seized. An underground amber processing workshop was discovered in the Kovel district of the Volyn region.
