Ukrzaliznytsia observes the ban on the import of grain cargo to Poland and only transports this cargo in transit.
A train carrying grain spilled by protesting Polish farmers is on its way to Germany. This was reported by the press service Ukrzaliznytsia on Tuesday, February 20.
The company noted that the Ukrainian cargo was sent to Germany in transit through Poland.
“Ukrzaliznytsia strictly adheres to the ban on the import of grain cargo into Poland introduced in April 2023 and only takes these cargoes in transit through the territory of the neighboring country. All carriages at the border are inspected by Polish regulatory authorities and sealed. This makes it impossible for Ukrainian grain to enter the Polish market,” they said. Ukrzaliznytsia.
At the Medika station, about 40 Ukrainian freight cars with agricultural products are waiting to be reloaded.
The Polish Railways and the Ukrainian Embassy in Poland were informed about the unauthorized interference in the work of the railway.
We remind you that today Polish farmers blocked the railway near the Medika-Shegini checkpoint and scattered Ukrainian grain from the carriage.
Previously, Polish protesters blocked passenger train No. 119 Kyiv – Chelm and tried to block two freight trains.
