The court also banned Poroshenko, his son Alexei and the former director of the Lipetsk confectionery factory from operating in Russia.
The Oktyabrsky District Court of Lipetsk regained Russian ownership of the shares of the former Lipetsk confectionery factory Roshen and the authorized capital in the trading company LLC Roshen. Russian media reported this on February 19 regarding the court’s decision.
JSC shares Lipetsk confectionery factory Roshen and 94.9976% share in the authorized capital of the LLC Roshenowned by the Central European Confectionery Company, and 5% of the shares in the authorized capital of the LLC Roshenowned by Oleg Kazakov, became the income of the Russian Federation.
The court also banned the founder of Roshen, MP Petro Poroshenko, his son Alexei Poroshenko and the former director of the Lipetsk confectionery factory Oleg Kazakov from operating in Russia.
The decision is “for immediate execution” but can be appealed.
Let’s recall that in January 2022, a month before the full-scale war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, Poroshenko transferred his Roshen corporation and other business assets to his eldest son Alexei.
In February of this year, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law confiscating property for so-called “fakes” about the Russian army and “crimes against state security.”
