The World2Fly plane made an emergency landing at Lisbon airport on Saturday night due to a mechanical problem, according to the National Civil Aviation Authority (ANAC).
«The Airbus A330-300 apparently had a mechanical problem with the landing gear, which triggered an emergency landing.An ANAC spokesman told AFP.
The plane took off from Humberto Delgado airport during the day and was scheduled to travel to the Cuban city of Varadero.
Shortly after the flight, the plane with about 300 passengers on board declared a state of emergency.
It then flew over the Lisbon area for a long time, according to FlightRadar, before landing at the airport in the Portuguese capital at 7.10pm local time, surrounded by civilian vehicles ready to intervene.
