It is indicated that the corresponding document will be signed by British Trade Minister Greg Gends and First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Sviridenko in a virtual ceremony.

“The UK was the first country to remove tariffs on all trade with Ukraine two years ago. Today’s announcement of a significant extension to the existing agreement means the UK will continue this leading role in providing Ukrainian businesses and exporters of the necessary economic support and assurance.” message.

The provisional duty-free agreement, signed in May 2022, is set to expire on March 31, 2024.

It was clarified that the new agreement provides for the extension of duty-free trade in all goods for a period of five years, except for eggs and poultry, the validity period of zero duties for which will be extended for two years.

Overall, the UK has provided Ukraine with more than £10 billion in military, humanitarian and economic support since the full-scale invasion by Kremlin forces in 2022.

We remind you that last week the European Commission proposed to extend the economic visa-free regime in Ukraine for another year. But four items will be subject to import tariffs.
