In the interbank market, the American currency rose in price by 5 kopecks – to 37.55-37.57 UAH/dollar (buying and selling).
For the second day in a row, the National Bank of Ukraine increased the exchange rate of the hryvnia against the dollar and significantly against the euro. This was confirmed by data on the regulator’s website on Monday, February 5.
Thus, the official dollar exchange rate for tomorrow is set at UAH 37.5544 (-0.0154 UAH). And the euro exchange rate will be 40.3747 UAH (-0.0505 UAH).
In the interbank market today, the price of the American currency rose by 5 kopecks – to 37.55-37.57 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) compared to the previous day’s close.
Meanwhile, in the cash market, the dollar exchange rate decreased by 10 kopecks to UAH 38.05.
Earlier it became known that the National Bank sold the lowest currency in 10 months. Over the past week, the regulator reduced sales in the interbank market for the fifth time in a row.
The NBU also explained the improvement of the situation in the foreign exchange market. The exchange rate has responded to the balance of supply and demand – since the beginning of the year it has strengthened by 1.2%.
