The average selling rate of the dollar decreased by 10 kopecks to 38.05 Hryvnia, and the euro exchange rate decreased by 20 kopecks to 41.45 Hryvnia.
Today, exchange offices buy dollars for an average of 37.55 UAH, and euros for 40.75 UAH.
In the interbank market, the American currency rate is at the level of 37.49-37.53 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – an increase of 1 kopeck compared to the previous day’s close.
In turn, the National Bank reduced the dollar exchange rate to UAH 37.5698 (-0.0349 UAH). The euro exchange rate is 40.8797 hryvnia per 1 euro (+0.2102 UAH).
Earlier it became known that the National Bank sold the lowest currency in 10 months. Over the past week, the regulator reduced sales in the interbank market for the fifth time in a row.
The NBU also explained the improvement of the situation in the foreign exchange market. The exchange rate has responded to the balance of supply and demand – since the beginning of the year it has strengthened by 1.2%.
