For internally displaced persons who are among the pensioners, the payments will be extended for another six months.
The Cabinet of Ministers has extended payments for all internally displaced persons (IDPs) until March 1, and payments for displaced pensioners will be extended by six months. Prime Minister Denis Shmygal announced this on Telegram on Friday, January 26.
“From March 1, new fair rules for assistance to IDPs will come into effect,” the head of government said.
According to the prime minister, for IDPs to pensioners, payments will be extended for another six months.

Also extend payments for disabled citizens of group 1 or 2, for disabled children, for orphans and children deprived of parental care, as well as for able-bodied citizens registered at the employment center or working people.
“In general, the state will continue to support more than 1.5 million internally displaced people with payments. At the same time, we will continue with more targeted support tools to help those who really need it,” explained Shmygal emphasized.
The representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnichuk, said that the payment of living allowances for displaced people was automatically extended from February 1 for one month without additional applications for people who the six-month period of receiving such assistance ended in January 2024.
It is also stipulated that the submission of an application to extend the payment of residence allowance to displaced persons entitled to its extension after March 1st is carried out in accordance with the current procedure from February 1st.
Housing assistance for displaced persons who are entitled to it and applied for continued payment with a personally submitted application in February-March will be assigned and paid from March 1, 2024.
We remind you that in Ukraine there are approximately 4.9 million people who are considered internally displaced. Of these, 2.5 million receive monthly payments. In 2022, Ukraine allocated 57 billion hryvnias for payments to displaced people. In 2023, this amount increased to 73 billion Hryvnia.
