Tuapse Oil Refinery Rosneft, the only one on Russia’s Black Sea coast and one of the ten largest in the country, has stopped oil refining and production of petroleum products after yesterday’s drone attack. The Moscow Times wrote this on Friday, January 26.
It is known that the plant was paralyzed after a fire caused by a Ukrainian drone strike.
As a result of the attack, a vacuum unit at the enterprise caught fire. According to sources, the plant will not be able to sustain rapid production. Repairs may continue until the end of February or beginning of March.
The Tuapse oil refinery was built in 1929 and is the oldest operating in Russia. Annually it processes 9 million tons of raw materials.
