Microsoft has banned users from Russia from downloading Windows 10 and 11

Now the Russians have to use a VPN to download Windows 11 and 10 from Microsoft’s official website.

The American corporation Microsoft has banned the download of Windows 10 and 11 operating systems in Russia. TASS reported this on Sunday, June 19th.

An error occurs when trying to download a Windows 11 disk image (ISO) from the company’s website.

“Error: There was a problem with your request. For assistance, visit the Microsoft support contact page,” the message said.

If you try to download Windows 10, an error will also appear: “404 – File or Directory not found”.

Indicates that with a VPN connection, the download occurs.
