So diesel fuel must meet at least nineteen indicators, gasoline – fifteen, and gas – ten. First, the selected sample is entered into a special register, and then goes through a whole cycle: from analysis to 45-day storage. Such long-term storage is another requirement of DSTU. This is done in case of possible misunderstandings. That is, when the consumer has doubts about the quality of the fuel, this sample is transferred to an independent laboratory, which makes the final verdict. On average, specialists spend about seven hours analyzing a sample. Diesel fuel lasts up to four hours, and the minimum amount of time required to analyze a gas sample is approximately three and a half hours. If necessary, express tests are also conducted here.
“The role of the laboratory in monitoring the quality of fuel is very important. We conduct dozens of studies throughout the month. This summer, for example, in one month, we checked more than forty gas samples for compliance. Gasoline – an average of ten tests. It’s careful work, but it’s the only way to be sure we can offer our customers the best,” said the company’s laboratory.
