The dollar exchange rate on Wednesday rose to 37.45 Hryvnia, while the euro fell to 40.69 Hryvnia.
The National Bank of Ukraine slightly increased the dollar exchange rate after a long decline. This was confirmed by data on the regulator’s website on Tuesday, January 23.
Thus, the exchange rate for tomorrow is set at 37.4544 UAH per 1 dollar (+0.0023 UAH). In this regard, the official exchange rate of the European currency has decreased dramatically – 40.6905 hryvnia per 1 euro (-0.1023 UAH).
Today, in the interbank market, the dollar exchange rate increased by 1 kopeck – to 37.42-37.46 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) compared to the previous day’s close.
At the same time, in the cash market, the selling dollar exchange rate immediately decreased by 15 kopecks – to 38.15 UAH/dollar.
We remind you that last week the deficit of foreign currency in the interbank market decreased significantly. NBU sold $530.90 million – a decrease in sales of more than 20% compared to the previous week ($673.27 million).
