The average dollar selling rate increased to UAH 38.30, and the euro exchange rate increased to UAH 41.85.
The hryvnia exchange rate fell slightly on the cash market against the dollar and euro at the start of the new working week. RBC-Ukraine reported this in connection with monitoring data on Monday, January 22.
The average selling rate of the dollar increased by 5 kopecks to 38.30 Hryvnia, the euro exchange rate also increased by 5 kopecks to 41.85 Hryvnia.
Today, exchange offices bought dollars for an average of 37.80 UAH, and euros for 41.15 UAH.
In the interbank market, the dollar exchange rate is at the level of 37.51-37.52 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – still compared to the previous day’s closing.
The National Bank reduced the dollar exchange rate to its lowest level since the end of December. Today’s official rate is set at 37.5268 UAH per 1 dollar (-0.1826 UAH). The euro today is worth 40.8404 UAH (-0.1742 UAH).
We remind you that last week the deficit of foreign currency in the interbank market decreased significantly. NBU sold $530.90 million, a 21.1% decrease in sales compared to the previous week ($673.27 million).
During the week, the dollar exchange rate on the interbank market fell from 37.80-90 UAH/dollar to 38.50-38-55 UAH/dollar. The official exchange rate decreased from 37.83 to 38.52 UAH/dollar. In the cash market, the rate fell from 38.90 to 38.20 UAH/dollar.
