The hryvnia exchange rate strengthened for the third day in a row against the dollar and the euro at exchange offices. RBC-Ukraine reported this in connection with market monitoring data on Wednesday, January 17.
Thus, the average selling rate of the dollar decreased by another 15 kopecks – to 38.60 UAH, and the euro exchange rate immediately fell by 30 kopecks – to 42.25 UAH.
Today, exchange offices buy dollars on average for 38.10 UAH, and euros for 41.50 UAH.
In the interbank market, the American currency is at the level of 37.91-37.97 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – an increase of 2 kopecks compared to the previous day’s close.
At the same time, the National Bank increased the dollar exchange rate for the second day in a row – to the level of 37.9247 UAH per 1 dollar (+0.0606 UAH). The euro exchange rate today is 41.2848 UAH per 1 euro (-0.1915 UAH).
Let us remind you that in the past week the dollar exchange rate has decreased significantly and fell below 38 Hryvnia in the interbank market. The reason for this is the decrease in the foreign currency deficit, which is why the National Bank reduced the sale of dollars.
