Poland has signed an agreement to unblock the border

The protesters will suspend their protest until at least March 1, waiting for a solution to their problems by the new Polish government.

The Polish Ministry of Infrastructure signed an agreement with the organizers of the blockade of Ukrainian border checkpoints. Ukrinform reported this on Tuesday, January 16.

“We have signed an agreement, the result of which is the end of the protest at the vehicle checkpoints in three settlements – Korczewa, Grebennoe, Dorogusk,” Polish Minister of Infrastructure Dariusz Klimczak said at a press conference in Warsaw.

The protesters suspended their protest until March 1.

According to him, until March 1 the validity of the agreement that contains seven points. The Polish government is now committed to solving the problems of carriers.

Earlier, the media reported that Polish carriers, who have been blocking Ukrainian border checkpoints since November 2023, reached an agreement with the government on “some demands” and will suspend their protest.

It was also learned today that the Romanian government and local farmers have reached an agreement, as a result of which two checkpoints on the Ukrainian border are expected to be unblocked.
