The average dollar selling rate decreased to 38.75 hryvnia, and the euro exchange rate decreased to 42.55 hryvnia.
The hryvnia exchange rate rose against the dollar and euro on the currency market. RBC-Ukraine reported this in connection with monitoring data on Tuesday, January 16.
Thus, the average selling rate of the dollar decreased by another 15 kopecks – to 38.75 Hryvnia, the euro exchange rate also fell by 15 kopecks – to 42.55 Hryvnia. Yesterday the hryvnia strengthened by 5 kopecks against the dollar and the euro.
Today, exchange offices buy dollars for an average of 38.25 hryvnia, euro for 41.85 hryvnia.
In the interbank market, the American currency rate is at the level of 37.90-37.95 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – an increase of 4 kopecks compared to the previous day’s close.
The National Bank today slightly increased the dollar exchange rate, but it remains at the level of the end of December last year – 37.8641 UAH per 1 dollar (+0.0255 UAH). The euro exchange rate is 41.4763 UAH per 1 euro (+0.0884 UAH).
Let us remind you that in recent days the dollar exchange rate has decreased significantly and fell below 38 Hryvnia in the interbank market. The reason is the decrease in the deficit of foreign currency in the interbank market, which is why the NBU reduced the sale of dollars.
