The average selling rate of the dollar in exchange offices fell to 38.90 Hryvnia, the euro exchange rate fell to 42.70 Hryvnia.
At the beginning of the new working week, the hryvnia exchange rate continued to strengthen on the cash market. It was reported by RBC-Ukraine in reference to tracking data on Monday, January 15.
Thus, the average selling rate of the dollar decreased by another 5 kopecks – to 38.90 Hryvnia, the euro exchange rate also fell by 5 kopecks – to 42.70 Hryvnia.
Today, exchange offices buy dollars on average for 38.40 UAH, and euros for 42.00 UAH.
In the interbank market, the American currency rate is at the level of 37.88-37.93 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – an increase of 4 kopecks compared to the opening of the previous day.
Meanwhile, the NBU lowered the official dollar exchange rate to its lowest since the end of December – 37.8386 UAH per 1 dollar (-0.1596 UAH). Today’s euro exchange rate is 41.3879 UAH per 1 euro (-0.3531 UAH).
Let us remind you that in recent days the dollar exchange rate has decreased significantly and fell below 38 Hryvnia in the interbank market. The reason is the decrease in the deficit of foreign currency in the interbank market, which is why the NBU reduced the sale of dollars.
