Naftogaz paid 90.2 billion hryvnias in state and local budget taxes by the end of 2023. The group’s press service reported this on Monday, January 15.
“In 2023, Naftogaz group enterprises paid 83.4 billion hryvnias in taxes to the state budget. Another 6.8 billion were transferred to local budgets,” the statement said.
In particular, in December alone, Naftogaz paid 6 billion hryvnias to the state budget and 500 million hryvnias to local budgets.
“We continue to remain one of the largest taxpayers in Ukraine,” the press service said.
Let’s recall that a court in Britain ordered Russia to pay Naftogaz $5 billion for properties in Crimea. If the aggressor country refuses to voluntarily comply with the court’s decision, Naftogaz has the right to initiate the process of compulsory enforcement of the decision on the territory of the states where the assets of the Russian Federation are located.
