Bloomberg spoke about Russia’s theft of Ukrainian grain and metal

The occupiers have already stolen Ukrainian grain worth $ 600 million and released thousands of tons of metal products.

Russia exports grain and metal stolen into Ukraine’s occupied territories, Bloomberg wrote.

“A ship with metal from the Ilyich Metallurgical Plant headed to Russia’s port of Rostov-on-Don at the end of May. Approximately 145,000 tons of metal products remained in the military-occupied port city of Mariupol The company, the largest steel producer in Ukraine, has not said how much its products are on this boat, “the newspaper wrote.

According to Metinvest, Ukrainian metal products are exported by the Russian company River-Sea. Its director, Gennady Arustamov, declined to comment on the publication.

“The alleged thefts are in line with the pattern followed by Russia: it has always targeted industries that have provided Ukraine with significant export earnings. The report of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe has seen evidence of theft by Russian forces in addition to war crimes against civilians, ”Bloomberg notes.

According to the Kyiv School of Economics, the Russians have already stolen more than $ 600 million worth of Ukrainian grain.

Earlier, the Mariupol plants applied to the Prosecutor General’s Office with a request to open criminal cases on the facts of metal theft and track the routes of the stolen products.

According to the Mariupol port management, the occupiers plan to seize 200,000 tons of metal worth $ 170 million.
