Hryvnia ends the working week with significant growth. The national currency exchange rate is strengthening for the third day, reports RBC-Ukraine, citing monitoring data on Friday, January 12.
Thus, the average selling rate of the dollar decreased by another 15 kopecks – to 38.95 Hryvnia, the euro exchange rate fell by 10 kopecks – to 42.75 Hryvnia.
Today, exchange offices buy dollars for an average of 38.45 UAH, and euros for 42.00 UAH.
In the interbank market, the American currency rate was 37.81-37.95 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – a decrease of 20 kopecks compared to the opening of the previous day.
In turn, the NBU lowered the dollar exchange rate below 38 hryvnia. The official rate is set at 37.9982 UAH per 1 dollar (-0.1941 UAH). The euro exchange rate is 41.7410 UAH per 1 euro (-0.0605 UAH).
Earlier, the National Bank explained the record demand for foreign currency. At the same time, the regulator claims that the situation remains under control thanks to a sufficient number of interventions.
