“Core inflation in December 2023 compared to November 2023 was 0.0%, for the whole year – 4.9%,” the report said.

Food and non-alcoholic beverage prices rose 4% over the year. The most expensive increase was for meat and meat products – by 12.4%, butter – by 9.9% and milk – by 9.7%.
At the same time, the prices that decreased the most throughout the year were: sunflower oil – 14.9%, eggs – 9.5% and sugar – 5.8%.
Prices for alcoholic beverages and tobacco products increased by 9.6%, while prices for clothing and shoes decreased by 6.3%.
Housing, water, electricity, gas and other types of fuel increased by 12.8%.
Household goods and household appliances increased in price by 0.7%, health care – by 8.7%, transportation – by 3.2% (including fuel – by 2.7%), communication prices increased by 1. 5%, entertainment and culture decreased by 1.1%, education increased in price by 12.8%, restaurants and hotels increased in price by 13.0%, various goods and services by 11.3%.
