The average cash dollar selling rate decreased to UAH 39.20, and the euro exchange rate – to UAH 42.90.
The hryvnia exchange rate rose on the cash market against the dollar and euro after a significant decline since the beginning of the new year. RBC-Ukraine reported this in connection with market monitoring data on Wednesday, January 10.
So, the average selling rate of the dollar decreased by 15 kopecks – to 39.20 Hryvnia, the euro exchange rate fell by 15 kopecks – to 42.90 Hryvnia.
Today, exchange offices buy dollars for an average of 38.70 UAH, and euros for 42.00 UAH.
In the interbank market, the American currency rate is at the level of 38.21-38.25 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – a decrease of 4 kopecks compared to the previous day’s close.
Meanwhile, the NBU yesterday raised the official dollar exchange rate to another maximum – 38.2253 UAH per 1 dollar (+0.0333 UAH). The euro exchange rate is 41.8185 UAH per 1 euro (+0.0212 UAH).
Earlier, the National Bank explained the record demand for foreign currency. At the same time, the regulator claims that the situation remains under control thanks to a sufficient number of interventions.
