In general, for the whole of 2023, Ukrainians bought 37.6 thousand zero-emission cars, or 2.8 times higher compared to 2022.
In December 2023, the Ukrainian car fleet was filled with more than 4.6 thousand battery-powered vehicles (BEV), which is almost three times more than a year ago. Of this amount, more than 4.5 thousand are passenger cars and 78 are commercial electric vehicles. This was reported by the Association of Ukrainian Automobile Manufacturers Ukravtoprom.
It was noted that in total for the whole of 2023, Ukrainians bought 37.6 thousand cars with zero emissions, or 2.8 times higher compared to 2022.
In addition to the overall growth of the electric vehicle market, there has been an increase in the share of new cars here. If in 2022 the share of new cars in BEV registrations is 17%, then at the end of last year it was almost 20%.
The top 5 new electric vehicles in the 2023 market include Volkswagen ID.4 (2655 units), Dongfeng/Honda M-NV (559 units), Volkswagen ID.6 (491 units), Honda eNS1 (327 units) , BYD Song ( 189 units).
Among the used electric vehicles registered for the first time in Ukraine are the Nissan Leaf (5,190 units), Tesla Model 3 (3,282 units), Volkswagen e-Golf (3,273 units), Tesla Model Y (2,171 units), Volkswagen ID .4 ( 1740 units).
It was previously reported that demand for electric vehicles in Ukraine has increased. Since the beginning of 2023, 33 thousand electric cars have passed their first registration in Ukraine.
