In life “before the war”, the work of the Favbet Foundation was focused on building an ecosystem of positive social influence and creating conditions for generations to change the country.

In life “after”, the priority has not changed, but the focus has been forced to change – now 95% of fund projects are aimed at helping the country and internally displaced people, supporting the army and rehabilitating wounded soldiers .

“Help in any way you can”

The war focused the attention of many on really important things and reminded them that they would eventually be judged by deeds, not words.

The company has many projects that we are not talking about in the public field. Part of the Favbet Foundation’s projects were implemented on the initiative of Andrey Matyukha, the owner of Favbet, who was systematically involved in charitable work even before the foundation was established. For example, he donated two armored vehicles for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“Every third Favbet employee is involved in the charity”

The early days of the war were focused on the safety of our employees, their support and communication within the company.

First aid to employees who went to serve in the Troops or Armed Forces of Ukraine – components, equipment. In the divisions of our colleagues there are other people who also need something. So we started helping the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In total, more than 120 people are fully equipped with our equipment.

Many good projects implemented during the war were the initiatives of our employees, supported by the company. For example, finders, a site for finding missing people and evacuees, appeared once our PHP Development Manager Misha Gorishny saw how volunteers wrote the data of missing people “on their knees” and then tried find them, drowning in a sea of ​​information. We completed this project in three days, and now the site has collected data from more than 50,000 Ukrainians looking for their relatives.

“The strategy is formed from requests”

Favbet has changed. The entire large holding became a division of a charitable foundation:

• Our office became a bomb shelter, our warehouses became conditional humanitarian hubs, where products were sorted before being shipped to a particular region.

• During the war, we built a logistics route from Lviv to Kyiv, which brought more than 100 tons of humanitarian aid.

• We independently searched and delivered pallets with humanitarian assistance from abroad and transferred them to the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

• We participated in the purchase and transfer of 3 ambulances in the Nikolaev region.

• We bought the most modern sniper rifle for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

• We are helping the National Police to restore the destroyed departments in the Kyiv region.

FAVBET Tech’s IT team, engaged in developing innovative solutions in the field of gambling and betting, are now the warriors of the information front. The work of the Favbet Foundation is not limited to Ukraine, we are committed to helping Ukrainians in every country where Favbet operates. Sometimes this help takes completely unexpected forms.

A month ago in Zagreb (Croatia) we opened an Adaptation Center for IDPs from Ukraine to study Croatian and English for free, provide psychological support and humanitarian assistance.

On the opening day, we expected no more than 10 people, but 65 students came. We realize another important thing – teaching languages ​​(now there are two of them – Croatian and English) is not enough. Ukrainians need communication, they need to know that they are not alone, so the school has become a center where you can relax and get all kinds of help.

“We can do more together”

The Favbet Foundation is not an ordinary fund in the common sense. We do not collect money from sponsors, 90% of the funds managed by the fund are the company’s own resources.

A perfect example of such a combination is the symbiosis between Favbet’s customers and the company. We transferred a portion of all deposits to the account of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and thus, each of our clients helps to bring victory.
