The businessman also provided the site of the Russian warehouse where the conquerors stored military equipment.
The security service collected evidence on the founder of one of the largest agricultural holdings in Ukraine, which is suspected of financing the armed invasion of Russia. The SBU press service reported this on Friday, January 5.
SBU officers detained the defendant in his son’s apartment in Kyiv, where he was hiding and planning to flee to Russia.
According to the investigation, the food company controlled by the defendant is located in the temporarily occupied left bank of the Kherson region and works in the interests of Russia. In particular, it is one of the main suppliers of food products for Russian troops located in southern Ukraine.
To do this, in May 2022, the businessman organized the “re-registration” of the agricultural company in the work “department of the Federal Tax Service of the Russian Federation for the Kherson region.” Since then, the defendant’s business has been paying more than 100 thousand Russian rubles monthly to the budget of the local labor administration of the Russian Federation as “taxes.”

The owner of the agricultural holding is suspected of collaborating with the Russians in the Kherson region
In addition, the attacker’s agricultural company is one of the region’s leading financial donors to the Russian “fund for the support of SVO participants”, which was created by order of Russian President Vladimir Putin in April 2023.
It is also documented that the businessman gave to the Russian troops the premises of the warehouse of the production complex of the enterprise in the temporarily occupied Kakhovsky district of the Kherson region.
The command of the Russian occupation groups uses logistics hangars to store their own weapons, ammunition and military equipment. Among them are Russian self-propelled artillery mounts and multiple launch rocket systems that carry out attacks on the territory of the Berislavsky region.
During searches at the location of the detainee in Kyiv, documents, seals, computer equipment and a mobile phone were confiscated, confirming the facts of cooperation with the aggressor.
Based on the collected evidence, the investigators of the Security Service informed the defendant of the suspicion of collusion with the aggressor state. He is currently in custody. The perpetrator faces up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of assets.
Let’s recall that earlier law enforcement officials exposed a Ukrainian company that carried out wholesale supplies of tactical drugs to Russia. In addition, the owner of an Internet provider cooperating with the Russian Federation was detained in Kyiv.
