According to the report, in 2023, Ukrzaliznytsia should receive a record income for the past five years – UAH 99.6 billion. Of these, 82.1 billion is revenue from cargo transportation, 8.4 billion UAH from passenger transportation, and 9.1 billion UAH from other revenue.
According to Lyashchenko, the implementation of measures to optimize operational activities, including the transition to direct contracts with manufacturers, helped the company achieve profitability in 2023.
By the end of 2022, the company received UAH 9.6 billion of net loss. In March of this year, the Cabinet of Ministers appointed Evgeniy Lyashchenko as the new head of Ukrzaliznytsia.
Last week, Ukrzaliznytsia reported a record volume of cargo traffic.
