Instead of entering his own lottery numbers, the man let the computer generate them randomly.
A man from Virginia (USA) won a jackpot of over 300 thousand dollars. News Observer reports.
It is understood he stopped at a 7-Eleven store in Sterling and decided to buy a lottery ticket to take part in the drawing on November 21. But instead of entering his own numbers, Jorge Lopez Carabantes let the computer choose numbers for him randomly.
Then, when it was time to check if there were any winnings in the drawing, the man was in for a big surprise. The numbers picked by the computer matched all five winning numbers in the drawing, resulting in a jackpot of more than $310,000.
As the winner mentioned, he intends to use part of his winnings to pay bills.
It was previously reported that a resident of Nanchang (China) won 220 million Chinese yuan (30 million US dollars).
