The average dollar rate in exchange offices rose to 37.45 UAH, and the euro rate fell to 40.55 UAH.
On Wednesday, the hryvnia exchange rate fell slightly against the dollar in exchange offices. It was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to December 6 market tracking data.
In the morning, the average dollar rate increased by 5 kopecks to UAH 37.45, the euro rate decreased by 10 kopecks to UAH 40.55.
Today, exchange offices bought dollars for an average of 36.90 UAH, and euros for 39.85 UAH.
In the interbank market, the American currency was at the level of 36.69-36.11 (buying and selling) – an increase of 1 kopeck compared to the previous day’s close.
The National Bank raised the dollar exchange rate above the fixed level, which has remained for more than a year (36.57) – to 36.6618 UAH per 1 dollar (+0.1235 UAH). The euro exchange rate is 39.6461 UAH per 1 euro (-0.0674 UAH).
Today it became known that the average cash dollar selling rate in Ukraine in November decreased by 0.9% to 37.69 Hryvnia. The dollar fell for the second month in a row.
Let’s recall that in early October the NBU announced the transition to a flexible dollar exchange rate. Before this, since the beginning of the war, the regulator maintained a fixed exchange rate of the hryvnia against the dollar, initially 29.25 UAH/dollar, and from July 21, 2022 – 36.57 UAH/dollar. Now the official rate is set based on the results of trading in the interbank market, which is controlled by the National Bank.
And from December 1, the National Bank removed all restrictions on the sale of cash currency to the population. After that, cash and official rates began to converge. The regulator believes this will help stabilize exchange rate expectations and increase the stability of the foreign exchange market.
