The average cash dollar exchange rate fell to UAH 37.40, and the euro fell to UAH 40.70.
The hryvnia exchange rate on the cash market continues to grow. RBC-Ukraine reported this in connection with monitoring data on Monday, December 4.
The average dollar exchange rate fell by 10 kopecks to 37.40 Hryvnia, the euro exchange rate fell by 15 kopecks to 40.70 Hryvnia.
This morning, in exchange offices they buy a dollar for an average of 36.90 UAH, and a euro for 40.00 UAH.
In the interbank market, the American currency rate is at the level of 36.46-36.48 (buying and selling) – no changes compared to the previous day’s close.
The National Bank today increased the dollar exchange rate to the level of 36.4606 UAH per 1 dollar (+0.1071 UAH). The euro exchange rate is 39.6582 UAH per 1 euro (-0.0653 UAH).
It was also noted that in the past week the NBU sold $739.5 million in the interbank market and also bought $1.6 million. In total, since the beginning of 2023, the regulator sold $25.548 billion and bought $214.66 million.
We remind you that from December 1, the National Bank removed all restrictions on the sale of cash currency to the population. The regulator believes this will help stabilize exchange rate expectations and increase the stability of the foreign exchange market.
And in early October, the NBU announced the transition to a flexible dollar exchange rate. The regulator promised to significantly limit changes in the exchange rate, preventing both a significant weakening of the hryvnia and a significant strengthening.
