Russian occupiers continue to export Ukrainian grain from temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories. The Center for National Resistance reported this on November 29.
“From the ports of the temporarily occupied Crimea, the export of grain from the south of Ukraine to the ports of Syria and Iran was recorded. In particular, the transportation of stolen agricultural products was carried out by bulk carriers that Zafar and Matros Koshka,” the report said.
It is noted that in general, the Russians take grain from local farmers at a fixed price lower than the market price and then resell it at the market price.
“The excess is taken into their pockets. At the same time, farmers are forbidden to sell products without the permission of the occupiers,” added the Central Tax Service.
Let’s remember that in almost two years of mass invasion, the Russian Federation could collect and export more than 10 million tons of wheat and about 5 million tons of corn and sunflower from the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories. The revenue from the export of this amount of grain is about $7.085 billion.
President Vladimir Zelensky said the Russian Federation is trying to use food shortages on the international market as a weapon in exchange for recognizing the occupation of some, if not all, of Ukraine’s occupied territories.
