Oil production in Kazakhstan’s largest field has dropped by 56%. This was announced by the Advisor to the Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan Shingis Ilyasov, reports KazTag.
“Currently, in large fields of the country, the decrease in production is 56%,” he said.
According to Ilyasov, the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan has no data on how long it will take for the situation to return to normal.
“In the near future, the reduction and adjustment of production will remain at the current level,” he added.
The largest oil and gas fields in Kazakhstan are Tengiz, Kashagan, Karachaganak.
Let’s recall that it was previously reported that the Kazakh government is considering the possibility of redirecting its oil from the Russian Black Sea port of Novorossiysk to the Baltic port of Ust-Luga.
