The theft was discovered by the head of the bank’s control department during a routine inspection of the bank’s safes.

In Poland, a 24-year-old man from Gdansk got a job in a bank, where he stole about 400 thousand zlotys and lost it in bets. This was reported by Polsat News.

It is known that the man worked as a cashier at this institution and took money from an individual safe for three weeks. The crime was discovered by the head of the bank’s control department during a routine check on the safes. The young man left the keys to the safe at the department the day before and did not come to work the next day.

When the police arrested him, he admitted that he had used the stolen money for betting. However, he won nothing from gambling – he lost almost everything.

The man faces up to ten years in prison. He was also banned from contacting employees of the bank he robbed.

It was previously reported that a 22-year-old man posed as a mannequin to rob one of the shopping centers in the Polish capital.
