The project was completed by the end of 2022. As part of it, bracelets were made from the last pre-war batch of steel from the Azovstal plant, sold, and the money was given to the Drone Army.
The Ukrainian commission of international awards in the field of advertising and marketing communications Effie Awards awarded the main prize to the project “Azovstal. Symbol of indestructibility.” This was reported by the press service of the Metinvest company, which is involved in the implementation of the project.
As part of the project, a limited number of bracelets were made from the last steel of the Azovstal plant that was destroyed and captured by the Nazis. They were sold, and more than 300 million UAH received were transferred to the Drone Army.
“The idea appeared in the fall of 2022, at that time the whole world knew about Azovstal – the last fortress of Mariupol. For every Ukrainian, the name of the plant became a symbol of the courage and incompetence of the defenders of Ukraine. 100,000 unique bracelets were made from the last pre-war batch of steel from the plant, provided by the Metinvest group “They were sold in 44 countries around the world, they appeared on world public figures, politicians and stars More than 300 million UAH were collected to help Ukraine. Metinvest’s participation in the project is part of Rinat Akhmetov’s billion-dollar Steel Front initiative,” Metinvest said in a statement.
The press service added that the project “Azovstal. Symbol of Indestructibility” was made possible thanks to the cooperation of the Metinvest group, UNITED24 and the Gres Todorchuk agency.
“The design of the bracelets was developed by the SOVA jewelry house, Nova Poshta provided the delivery, and Rozetka provided the sale of the bracelets,” the authors of the message indicated.
We remind you that the production of bracelets as part of the project “Azovstal. Symbol of Indestructibility” was reported in October 2022. In the first half of December of the same year, the project was completed.
