The exchange rate of the American currency has moved away from its lowest since the beginning of October, when the NBU switched to a controlled flexibility mode.
The National Bank increased the dollar exchange rate on the last working day of the week. This was confirmed by data on the regulator’s website on Friday, November 24.
The official dollar exchange rate for Monday is set at 36.0487 UAH per 1 dollar (+0.0344 UAH). Thus, it moved away from the lowest since the beginning of October, when the NBU switched to managed flexibility mode.
The euro exchange rate on November 27 will be 39.3580 UAH per 1 euro (+0.0880 UAH).
In the interbank market today, the American currency rose in price by 5 kopecks – to 36.06-36.08 UAH/dollar (buying and selling).
Meanwhile, in the cash market, the dollar fell by 10 kopecks to 37.65 hryvnia per dollar.
Let’s recall that at the beginning of October the NBU announced the transition to a flexible dollar exchange rate. The regulator promised to significantly limit changes in the exchange rate, preventing either a significant weakening of the hryvnia or its significant strengthening.
And at the end of August, the NBU allowed banks to sell non-cash money to the population in the amount of 50 thousand Hryvnias without additional obligations. Because of this, the dollar exchange rate has depreciated significantly.
