Due to the increase in work, as well as due to the Russian attack, the power units of the power plants are periodically forced to undergo short-term repairs.
In the past 24 hours, DTEK specialists have returned three units of thermal power plants to the energy system after short-term repairs. The press service of DTEK Energy reported this on Friday, November 24.
It was noted that in recent days, due to the cold weather, the load on both the Ukrainian energy system and thermal generation in particular has increased significantly. At the same time, due to the increase in work, as well as due to the consequences of the Russian attack, the power units of the power plants are periodically forced to undergo short-term unscheduled repairs.
In the last 24 hours, there have been six blocks. On the same day, workers at the thermal power plant resumed operation of three power units, and other equipment will soon be repaired.
Thermal power plants on the frontline are regularly eaten by Russian artillery, and restoration of equipment takes longer.
“DTEK’s energy workers continue to do everything possible to support the reliability of the energy system at all available capacities,” emphasizes DTEK.
We remind you that in order to support the stable operation of the energy system, during 10 months of this year, DTEK Energy thermal power plants generated 12.3 billion kWh of electricity.
As reported, Ukraine is building three-level protection of energy infrastructure facilities on the eve of winter.
