Any increase in tariffs for industry will affect in one way or another all Ukrainians, noted the Association of Small and Medium Business Owners.
Ukrenergo has enough financial capacity to prevent the growth of tariffs for the transmission and transmission of electricity for business, because it will affect in one way or another all citizens. The head of the Association of Small and Medium Business Owners Ruslan Sobol said this on Wednesday, November 22.
“We must understand what role the state, the real sector of the economy, consumers, external partners, investors or donors play in the economy. And we must use our civil rights to defend our rights. Ask – wait, is everything okay? How does Ukrenergo raise tariffs even though it has huge capacities?” – emphasized the expert.
According to Sobol, businesses, which cannot operate, will either close or shift the financial burden to consumers. As a result, any increase in tariffs for industry will in one way or another affect all citizens of Ukraine.
“A business is not Mother Teresa. A business is created to receive income. If it is not received, it will close. Or it will transfer the maximum amount of these costs to consumers and to the final product, to the price of The final product. So, any initiative by the government that monopolizes the tariff increase for transportation or electricity transmission is on our shoulders as citizens,” Sobol stressed.
In his opinion, Ukrenergo has significant capacities that allow the company to maintain the tariff for electricity transmission, so it is worth looking for the cause of losses in it, analyzing the efficiency of its work.
“We need to find out if Ukrenergo in general has any part, either corrupt or illegal. Why is this happening in general, what is the ultimate motivation? For me, we, as a civil society, should ask such questions to say -owned companies: after all, this is becoming a problem for our entire country,” concluded Sobol.
We would like to remind you that on November 16, the National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Utilities (NEURC) approved an increase in Ukrenergo’s tariff for the transmission and transmission of electricity for business.
Also this month, NEURC established new maximum prices on the electricity market, which will take effect on November 30.
