According to von der Leyen, in total, EU support for Ukraine has reached 85 billion euros and will continue. In particular, Brussels intends to allocate 50 billion euros to Ukraine until 2027.
In turn, Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal confirmed receiving the tranche.
“We welcome today another payment of EU macro-financial assistance in the amount of 1.5 billion euros. In this tranche, the total EU budget support to our country reaches more than 16.5 billion euros,” he said.
Earlier, the Ministry of Finance warned of the threat of a “hole” in the budget of $29 billion. This could become true if partners reduce funding to Ukraine in 2024.
